Dengue fever is a flu-like viral disease common over the tropical and sub-tropical locations around the world, primarily in city and peri-urban areas. Today, it affects an estimated 50 million to 100 mil in the tropics (Epstein, 2000). The disease has 4 antigenically related serotypes, which can be named DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4.
