In The Baseball catchers In The Rye by T. D. Salinger there were a number of ways that the main character, Holden, was trapped. He was captured by his own assumptions, by his own activities, and his personal mind psychologically.
The initial way Holden was trapped was by simply his personal assumptions. Because his individuality was to lay, he was trapped in a world of lies. This will make him a very negative person. Having a negative attitude can result in making negative decisions and it barriers him. Holden is also stuck by his own activities. Probably the biggest action will be his receiving kicked away of boarding school. But he don't want to leave. He hung about, and discussed to his old friends and old teacher Mister. Spencer, asking Mr. Bradzino why he had to fail him. Mr. Bradzino showed Holden his last essay that he composed and provided him some important tips. " A lot more a game, youngster. Life is a game title that one takes on according to the rules. вЂќ (J. D. Salinger). Holden after that dreaded heading home as they said his parents will kill him if they found out this individual flunked away of boarding school. Holden is lastly trapped in the own mind psychologically. He repeats himself a lot to make a point, and through the entire book makes it sound like all others is crazy, when he is a crazy a single. At the end with the book this individual ends up in a great insane asylum, proving the actual that he's mentally unbalanced. At the end of The Catcher In The Rye Holden did not escape because he ends up in a mental hospital, and he you may never really break free yourself totally. I think the most important thing in the book was, he found what this individual wanted to perform with the associated with his lifestyle.
