James Baldwin states " … some language could be dangerous, possibly fatal” (650). This is a reference to his life and experiences developing up as an African-American in the us. This straight relates to the earth today in the us and how the young generation speaks in comparison to the past types. It also can be used to note the changing of culture in America and the blending of cultural groups in a single Nation. This change is actually a natural part of life and part of the human being evolutionary method. At the same time, it might most definitely be dangerous, life altering, and fatal to people living in today's universe. How does this kind of affect people in their lives and why is it so diverse? It is very obvious that people coming from different locations, cultures, ages, and all sorts of variables will certainly speak in all of the kinds of different dialects and languages. Baldwin says " What connects to all different languages, and all guys, is the need to are up against life, in order, not inconceivably, to outwit death: The price for this is the acknowledgement, and success, of one's temporary identity” (650). Identity is known as a complex ideal. It can deliver people with each other while traveling others apart at the same time. Such as; I have adult my whole life in Cal and only used English the entire span of my life. Whilst this isn't completely uncommon, it really is becoming more and more useful to speak Spanish as well in lots of areas of lifestyle in the states all of us live in. It is far from a proud thing for me to admit i have been incarcerated in the past, but it gives me some good perspective on the matter. Differences in the prison system will be almost totally racial. If I had known Spanish I could include possibly been on better terms with a few Hispanic inmates or maybe only kept this to me that I recognized the language and known the actual were declaring when they thought I failed to.
