A. Rationale

One of the major contributors of early Philippine Literature is a " Pabasa”, or better known as " Pasyon”- a verse narrative about the life span and suffering of Jesus. It is one of many traditional philosophy and faith based practice in the Philippines wherever people gather around to pay attention and reflect during Loaned season. The said custom of chanting the pasyon was at first rooted from the Spanish Language songs. A brief history of the Korea includes the Spanish lording it over and colonization for about 300 and thirty-three years (1521-1898). Within these kinds of years, it can be clear which the Spanish colonizers brought a number of changes that fundamentally shaped the societal growth of the natives moving into our land. In this study we is going to determine the alterations and affects brought by pasyon as one of the elements that formed the Filipinos identity. All of us will also demonstrate how the explained reading impacts the belief of the persons. This research comprises 4 main chapters which includes the study problem matter; Research technique; Results and discussion; Synopsis and Conclusion.

B. Review of related literary works

The review of the literature in this study concentrates on the significance from the Pasyon among the popular forms of literature that seems to have attracted people throughout the centuries. This kind of focuses on a variety of studies and published content that facilitates the former affirmation.

A large number of writers include proclaimed that Pasyon was used by the Spanish as one of the elements to slowly and gradually conquer the Philippines, in which it created a big influence in the minds of every single Filipinos.
